Yesterday, we shared a story with all the background information Michigan parents need to know about “the science of reading.” And today, among our top stories, we report that the Senate Education Committee heard testimony in support of two proposed bills that would require require schools in the state to weave the science of reading into early literacy education.
The bills, which are aimed at better identifying and teaching students with dyslexia, would also likely benefit all early readers, supporters say.
